Dr. Chris Ibikunle, MD
IBI Healthcare Institute proudly features highly skilled professionals, including Dr. Christopher Ibikunle. He serves as the Founding CEO and current Executive Chair. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Ibikunle specializes in advanced bariatrics, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, endoscopic (incision-less) surgery, thoracoscopy, and complex reoperative procedures. Additionally, he has expertise in surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, vascular access surgery, surgical critical care, acute care, and trauma.
Dr. Chris completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he also served as an Active Staff and Assistant Professor of Surgery. He is currently a Professor of Surgery at Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership and a Lead Preceptor for Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership, Morehouse University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Gardner Webb University.
Dr. Chris is also associated with several prestigious, well-respected medical associations and boards. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
